Champion's Creed girls take Gold in Toronto

Congratulations to Sheila Bird and Caitlin Pakosh!

Both Sheila and Caitlin competed this week-end in Toronto at the Grapple girls open.

Sheila competed in the advanced division in both her weight class (No-Gi) and the absolute (No-Gi), submitting all her opponents on her way to winning gold in both divisions!

Caitlin, who has only been training for 6 months, stepped up to the intermediate division to challenge herself and ended up winning gold in her weight class in both Gi and No-Gi, silver in the absolute No-Gi, and bronze in the absolute with Gi. Caitlin had 16 matches in one day. That is the most matches any of our Champion's Creed competitors have ever had in one day. What a tremendous display of heart and determination.

This tournament had more high ranking women competing than any tournament outside of ADCC or the Mundials I have ever seen. Congratulations must also go out to Alaina Hardie of Mecca MMA in Toronto for being the brain child and organizer of this event along with competing herself in the Advanced divisions winning two silver medals in the advanced division.
